Currently I am reading the book entitled "Your Questions, God's Answers" (by Peter Kreeft). There are 64 questions and the same number of answers given by the author. The answers are very important if we want to understand our Catholic faith. One of the questions is the following: "What is it to be a Christian?"
The author writes that "different people will give different answers to that question". Then, he continues to explain that it is Jesus who knows the answer to that question. I will quote the author's words: "What does he say? He (Jesus) says his followers are to become parts of him, incorporated into his body. "I am the vine, and you are the branches" (Jn 15:5) - the same life, the same plant. A Christian is a branch of Christ, a part of Christ. Together, Christians are the Church, the body of Christ (Eph 5:30; Col 1:18)."
I am a Catholic. I believe that all I have to know is written in the Bible. God gave us His Bible, His sacraments, His Church for us. Jesus Christ is the only way to God and Heaven. I am grateful for all the blessings I have from my God. I am happy to write a few blogs, one of them is this one that you are reading now. I am a Christian, but first of all I am a Catholic. My Church is my hope and my way, Church gives me all that I need. My faith is my joy, my joy is God and all graces I receive from my God. "Therefore, if any one is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, behold, the new has come" (2 Cor 5:17). God bless you.
